The Career Innovation Company was featured in a recent article published by CNBC, which discussed setting annual work goals and how to stick to them.
Our Director, Rosemary McLean, explained that whilst the process of setting goals can be challenging, they are vital for an employee’s career development. The best chance of success may lie in focusing on a handful of goals, rather than spreading oneself too thinly. This could also include setting goals that have different difficulty levels.
Setting goals can also mean holding yourself accountable. Rosemary’s idea to achieve this is to have self-check-ins. “It’s important to find the time throughout the year to be intentional about your career, so blocking time in the calendar to do this can work well,” she says.
